Water Petals

Colours cause vibrations, flowing through our body, easily slipping us into a different world, the same way that music might cause goosebumps or the aroma from a bakery might bring hunger pangs. Each colour evokes a unique array of feelings.

These photographic images represent some of my favourite vibrations, inspired by the beauty found in my neighbours’ gardens. While on daily dog walks this past summer, I found myself irresistibly drawn to the symphony that these flowers sang. During many timeless mornings and evenings with my face pressed into the petals, I created these photographs to have just the right balance of colour and reverberation.
